Headquartered in Mt. Vernon, New York, Persico Contracting & Trucking, Inc., until its cessation of operations in 2011, provided a host of coordinated construction services. Among its areas of extensive experience were highway and bridge projects as well as excavation work. A privately held company, Persico Contracting & Trucking employed as many as 200 employees at its height.

The firm was established by Robert and Richard Persico in 1980 with a focus on trucking, and in 1989 grew to encompass site construction solutions. Over the decades, it provided reliable, results-focused contracting services to municipalities spanning New York City, Westchester County, and across the state. In 2009, the company expanded once again, this time with a focus on meeting the specific needs of a major client, Con Edison, Inc. This positioned it as one of the New York City metropolitan area’s largest site contractors.

The Persico team achieved a number of industry accolades, including honorable mention for the Excellence in Highway Design award. The company maintained a strong community profile that includes contributing resources to charitable projects such as the Bronx River Parkway.
